The Informed Teacher Books – Summer 2019

in Summer 2019 by

At the end of each school year, the Park Library launches faculty and staff into summer with The Informed Teacher presentation, a celebration of “very good, very readable, and at times very important fiction and nonfiction for the adult reader.” Inspired by the long-standing tradition of the ALA Notable Books List, our own selections are much anticipated, eagerly read, and widely shared by teachers and parents. Last year, Carole Carter, Director of Technology, created a dynamic website that provides access to the selected titles for the entire Park community. Please view the accompanying slideshow for highlights from this year’s list, and look for the books in our library, in our digital collections, and at your local libraries and bookstores. We’d love to hear your thoughts about our choices!
