This issue of The Park Parent continues our ongoing collaboration with the Parents’ Association Community Service program, in this spotlight on the next major event — the perennially successful Chop-a-thon.
Mark your calendars to help prep vegetables, chop with your children, or drop off vegetables at this community event. The Chop-a-thon is a wonderful opportunity for the Park community to come together and make a difference by supporting Pine Street Inn – an organization that provides a variety of services to more than 1,600 homeless men and women every day. Last year we chopped and donated over 886 pounds of vegetables.
Come Chop With Us at the 2020 Chop-a-thon Marathon!
Volunteer opportunities include prepping vegetables after school on Wednesday,, assisting classes with chopping vegetables, driving chopped vegetables to Pine Street Inn throughout the day, and more. If you have any questions or you would like to get involved in organizing Chop-a-thon, please reach out to co-chairs Lars Liebisch, Susan Boney, or Jessica Scherer.
