Lesley Ryan Miller has been named Chair of The Park School Board of Trustees for a three year term, succeeding Joe Robbins. A member of the Board since 2018, she served as the Board’s Vice Chair in the 2022-23 academic year, and also serves, along with her husband, Harold, as a co-chair of Spark: The Campaign for Park.
Lesley brings over 25 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher and as a school and district administrator. She currently serves as the Chief of Teaching & Learning in Boston Public Schools, overseeing curriculum and instruction across all content areas as well as early childhood education and educator professional learning, teacher leadership opportunities and new teacher induction. Prior to this, she served as the Deputy Superintendent of Teaching & Learning in the Public Schools of Brookline. She was also the Principal of The Pierce School (K-8), also in Brookline, which serves over 850 students across three buildings. These efforts followed almost a decade of classroom teaching as a kindergarten and first grade teacher in the Boston Public Schools.
Lesley received a BS in Education from Boston University and holds an MA in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Lesley, Harold, and their daughter, Laila (Grade 6), live in Dorchester.
