Winter Athletics Season Wrap-Up

This past winter, the athletic teams at Park School gained valuable experiences on the basketball court and ice rink. The teams worked hard in practices developing sports-specific skills and learning to work together as a team. Throughout the season, they worked on incorporating what they learned in team competition and put forth effort regardless of the outcome of the games. Congratulations to all the teams on their hard work throughout the winter season. 

Girls Varsity Basketball earned second place in the Hoopfest Basketball Tournament. The team played their hearts out in a close back-and-forth championship game. 

Girls Varsity Basketball (B) was a team of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, each player grew their basketball skills and gained confidence throughout the season leading to their success on and off the court. 

Girls JV Basketball (White) earned second in the Meadowbrook 6th Grade Basketball Tournament to end the season. 

Boys Varsity Basketball this year had a team of first-time varsity players. They finished the season with a strong team victory over BCDS. 

Boys JV Basketball (Green) played with consistency throughout the season and earned a Park “P” for going undefeated this winter 

Boys JV Basketball (White) 6th-grade team built on their lessons from last year and made tremendous strides in their second year. They mounted an amazing comeback victory against Rashi after being down 15 points!

Grade 5 Girls Basketball (White and Green) Our youngest girls basketball team made tremendous strides throughout the season growing their basketball skills. They finished the season with two thrilling games against Meadowbrook and Nashoba.

Grade 5 Boys Basketball (White and Green) Our youngest boys basketball team worked hard throughout the season developing their basketball skills. They capped off their first season with an exciting intrasquad Green and White game.  

Varsity Ice Hockey had many newcomers to the sport this season. The team worked hard to grow their skills throughout the season and had the special experience of playing home games at the Jack Kirrane outdoor rink at Larz Anderson
