This week, our students embodied the very essence of The Park Portrait as they came together across grades to create heartfelt cards for patients—both children and adults—receiving treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Center. With joy, empathy, compassion, and collaboration at the heart of this initiative, students embraced the opportunity to bring comfort and encouragement to those going through treatment.

Older students took on leadership roles, modeling kindness, patience, and creativity as they guided their younger peers through the process. They helped spark ideas, encouraged thoughtful messages, and demonstrated the importance of giving back to others. Younger students, in turn, brought boundless enthusiasm and heartfelt sincerity to their work, making the experience deeply meaningful for all involved.
Under the thoughtful guidance of our Assistant Division Heads, faculty and students alike united in a powerful demonstration of community and kindness, reflecting our school’s values and mission in action. This project not only strengthened connections between students of different ages but also reminded us all of the impact small acts of care can have on the world around us. This meaningful and successful experience is at the core of who we are at Park.
